Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children is the only advanced pediatric acute care hospital in North Alabama which includes a pediatric emergency department with two Kids Care critical care transport units, pediatric intensive care, Level III neonatal intensive care, pediatric surgery as well as a St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Affiliate Clinic. The hospital also specializes in maternity services – delivering the most babies in Alabama, including a specialized OB emergency department, maternal fetal medicine, women's surgery and a dedicated Breast Center with 3D mammography.
